MAKE-A-WISH CHARITY CAR SHOW TO FEATURE ALBUQUERQUE'S QUICKEST AND FASTEST FUNNY CAR

Each year the Rio Grande Corvette Club organizes a car show that raises money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Mexico. The 2001 edition of the show will be held on August 19 at the Eastdale Shopping Center (corner of Eubank and Candelaria Blvd.) in Albuquerque from 11 am until 3 pm. In addition to the great show cars, there will be a silent auction for many different items. The Lyle Greenberg Motorsports team is supporting the effort by displaying their 240 MPH Federal Mogul Funny Car and auctioning off the opportunity to sit in the car while it is running. The sounds and vibrations of a 3,000 horsepower engine will provide a sensory experience that most car enthusiasts would love to feel. The Greenberg team will start the car at noon just to give the crowd a taste of what the car is like. Then at 2:30 pm the winning bidder will get to take his or her seat in the car for the thrill of a lifetime.

Throughout the show, Lyle Greenberg will be on hand giving out pictures of the race car and visiting with the car show spectators and participants.
